John McCrystal
John McCrystal is a freelance writer and book reviewer. He has published eight books, including The Cars We Loved, a finalist in the 2002 Montana Book Awards. He has also published short stories, and written a radio drama, broadcast on National Radio in 2002.
John was born in Taupo and educated at the University of Auckland. He has been working as a freelance writer since 1990 and is a former book review editor of North & South magazine. He currently lives and works in Wellington.
